Location
Visitors at Reliving the Sacra Infermeria Museum can enjoy a multifold experience. The museum is located within the 17th century hospital of the Knights of St John, today known as the Mediterranean Conference Centre.
Context
The museum explores the medical aspects of this military order which started off in the Holy Lands during the 12th century Crusades. Visitors are taken on a journey through the Knights (16th-18th centuries) and British periods (19-20th centuries).
Immersive Technology
The whole museum is experienced through our cutting edge mobile application. Visitors can use their personal smartphone or borrow a museum tablet. Visitors are encouraged to download the app before their arrival.
Languages
The whole experience is available in multiple international languages including Maltese, English, Italian, German, French and Spanish.

MCC Augmented Reality mobile app privacy policyThe Government of Malta built the MCC Augmented Reality mobile app as a Free app. This SERVICE is provided by the Government of Malta at no cost and is intended for use as is.We are committed to protecting our visitors’ and/or users’ privacy and will not collect any personal information about users unless it is voluntarily provided. Pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act (Cap 586), we have a legal duty to respect and protect any personal information we collect from users, and we will abide by such duty. We take all safeguards necessary to prevent unauthorised access and do not pass any details collected from visitors and users to any third parties unless consent is given to us to do so or as authorised by law.
How do we process personal data?
1. Information We Collect 1.1 Automatically Collected Data: When you use our app, we automatically collect certain information, including: • Device information such as model, operating system, and version.
• App usage data such as pages visited, actions taken, and time spent.
• Location information, based on IP address or device settings (if granted permission). 1.2 Error and Event Data: Our app utilizes Sentry to collect data about errors and specific events within the app to help us improve its performance and resolve issues.

How We Use Your Data 2.1 Improving Our App: We use the data we collect to understand how users engage with our app, identify trends, fix issues, and improve overall user experience. 2.2 Analytics: Using Firebase Analytics, we analyze user behavior to optimize our app’s features and offerings. 2.3 Error Tracking: With the help of Sentry, we can quickly identify, track, and fix errors or issues within the app, ensuring a smoother user experience.
3. Third-party Services 3.1 Firebase Analytics: Our app uses Firebase Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. Firebase Analytics collects, stores, and processes data to provide us with insights about how users interact with our app. Google’s privacy policy can be found here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-US#intro. 3.2 Sentry: Sentry helps us identify and diagnose issues within our app. Data sent to Sentry includes error reports and occasionally, general app usage patterns. 4. Data Subjects Rights 4.1 Data subjects may exercise their right to access the data held about them. In case of queries in relation to data, if any, held by us, users are requested to kindly contact us by submitting a request to the appropriate data controller through the Contact Us https://mcc.com.mt/contact-us/ within the website.
5. Data Retention 5.1 We retain the data collected only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, unless otherwise required by law.
6. Security 6.1 We take reasonable measures, including administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, to protect your data from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
7. Liability 7.1 We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a distributed denial-of-service attack, viruses or other technologically harmful material that may infect your mobile equipment, mobile programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of the APP or to your downloading of any material posted on it, or anything linked to it.
AR Museum Terms and Conditions
This ticket is sold to the ticket holder (hereafter referred to as “TH”) in accordance with these Terms of Sale. Purchase/holding/use hereof constitutes acceptance of all such conditions by TH and any other holder including legal guardians. No act/failure to act/enforce will be a waiver of any term. The Mediterranean Conference Centre (hereafter referred to as “MCC”) may be contacted on +356 21243840 or [email protected].1. This sale is of a ticket without warranty express or implied and is non-refundable except when otherwise provided by the MCC at its sole and exclusive discretion.2. Standard admission tickets are valid for one visit and restricted to a specific date as per booking.3. This ticket may not be sold, re-sold, transferred, used for promotions, competitions, or sales packages without prior written consent of the MCC. Any ticket violating this policy may be voided without right to refund.4. Only authorized sellers are licensed by the MCC to issue tickets.5. The MCC reserves the right to refuse admission or re-admittance to anyone, and to search any person or personal property at any time. ID may be required at any time and must always be carried by the Holder. Those TH benefiting from discounted rates, including but not limited to the elderly and students, must provide a valid ‘status’ document confirming the veracity of the status being claimed by them.
